Peter Morse works in the narrow seam between sculpture and painting, where mass becomes surface and surface remembers its weight. Each piece begins as a question about gravity — what holds, what falls, what light does to a thing that cannot move.
Working from his studio in Little Compton, Morse creates pieces in various materials. His introspective investigations of form and liquidity are a constant source of inspiration.
